Our Mission
Online communities thrive when people can participate pseudonymous or anonymously. However, when conversations require taking the next step—such as buying an item, providing private assistance, or meeting up—users are forced into an all-or-nothing trade-off: reveal their personal phone number or LINE ID publicly to thousands of strangers, or lose the connection entirely.
VeilPair provides a lightweight and transparent private handoff bridge designed to reduce this trade-off.
Core Principles
- Verifiable Privacy over Marketing Claims: We avoid unsubstantiated buzzwords like "unbreakable," "zero-knowledge," or "military grade." Instead, we clearly document our architecture, threat model, and data lifecycles.
- Server-Managed Encryption at Rest: Messages and shared contact details are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with unique per-conversation keys. We clearly disclose that VeilPair is not end-to-end encrypted.
- Guest-First by Default: Users do not have to provide personal identifiers (email or phone) for the temporary guest flow.
- Contextual Integrity: The original public thread can be used to compare a pairing code before approving a browser session, without claiming to verify legal identity.
